I can't imagine having a week go by without being in a senior care facility or speaking at one of their conferences to support their success. People who have dedicated their careers to caring for frail elders are simply the best people. So are the people who provide products and services to facilities--working to assure that caregivers have the best resources available to them.
I think that's why this world has been my professional focus for over 3 decades. That passion probably started a lot earlier, though, largely from my relationship with my grandparents.
By the way, that's actually them at their 60th wedding anniversary party--still holding hands.
